A section where different writers (critics or filmmakers or others in the film world) were asked for their general thoughts and feelings on Australian cinema (including the broader film culture, not just the films themselves).

Four questions were posed to them, as prompts, but they were free to write on what they wanted:

• What do you think of recent Australian films (the ones you know, whether mainstream or alternative)?
• How do you think recent Australian cinema stacks up against world cinema (of Europe, Asia, America)?
• How do you view the placement of Australian titles in local film festivals, and distribution of the films after their festival exposure?
• How do you view the broader Australian film culture: the film press, the film schools, the film funding bodies, the Archive?
