This section of the website is devoted to essays on various Australian independent filmmakers, written by a variety of people.

We launched this section in March 2018 with essays on two of Melbourne's younger maverick auteurs, Matthew Victor Pastor and Saidin Salkic, and have now added a profile of the punky gender diverse filmmaker Kim Miles.
